By order of the Dutch  Law ( Labour cicumstances Act 1997),   repairs in/  on or onto tankervessels   carrying-,  or empty  but previous laden   with  dangerous  cargo   and  being  found  within  Dutch territorial waters,   is  prohibited without a Health-& Safety Certificate.Owners representatives  /agents /captains or repair companies  are  obliged to apply   first for this  "gasfree certificate" with a Marine    Chemist  prior  commencing  planned  works or repairs.

 Special  attention  is given  to enclosed  or confined spaces as well as to  "hot work"  permits   or specific potential   toxic environments (within the  cargozone) and   additional  advises   is offered   to maintain  the safety.  Our   expertises as   Certified  Marine Chemists,  can also be extended to  vessels   outside  Dutch  territorial  waters    e.g. in  countries  where no  Certified   Marine Chemists  are available  nor a "gas-free   certificate"  is  requierd to  dangerous  cargo- vessels,  we  are  able  to   provide    the  necessary  certificates   (under the  Dutch terms)  to at   least   protect  those   involved   in dangerous  cargo  handling  or to make sure that the  repairs to the vessel can be  carried out safely. It's also possible to issue  "gas-free certificates"   in  compliance  with the regulations of Bureaux of
 Classifications when,
for  example, the vessel is  being re-classified.
